BRISTOL

A Century on the Road, very numerous b&w photo illustrations (but not merely an album of photos – there is a good deal of text – see the specimen page below), 144 pp, green boards in d/w, in very good condition, Glasney Press (Falmouth, Cornwall) 1978

27.4 x 20.8 cm, 770g, ISBN 0 95028 259 6

Bristol started as an operator of horse-drawn trams, but soon started building its own trams and buses.  This book also deals with the commercial vehicles and the less usual aspects of bus and tram operation – see the specimen page below.  Bristol also spent the Second World War making generators for searchlights.

There is no dustwrapper 'blurb', so I have copied the author's short introduction - see below.

Long out of print.
