THE HANDBOOK OF THE MORRIS CAR

Care and Management of Morris Cars, b&w frontispiece and numerous b&w illustrations from photographs and line-drawings (see examples below), index, 128 pp and xxxviii pp advertisements (see example below), decorated card covers, some oily fingerprints on pages and covers, but binding sound and altogether a reasonable copy for its age, Iliffe & Sons, undated (but in fact 1925)

20.2 x 12.7 cm, 260g, no ISBN

Covers the ‘bullnose’ Morris Cowley and Oxford cars 1919-1925, with a chapter on the Morris one-ton truck of 1924-5 which used the Oxford engine.  The book can be dated from the fact that some of the advertisements mention that year.

The handbook has clearly been used, as the oily fingerprints testify, and has been dropped on its rear bottom corner at some point, as that corner is somewhat crushed, but considering the book is nearly 100 years old it is in remarkable condition.

The advertisements are of nearly as much interest as the book itself.
