An Account of His First Walking Tour, No. 91 of a limited edition of 200 copies, with illustrations by Leslie Jones, b&w portrait frontispiece, 11 colour lithographs (one double-page) and numerous b&w drawings by Leslie Jones, introduction by Helen Roeder, appendix giving the text of letters from Denton Welch to Helen Roeder on the publication of his first book Maiden Voyage during 1942-3, [viii] & 82 & [x] pp, decorated cloth with brown suede spine, top edge gilt, some marginal spotting at beginning and end and to closed edges of pages, small rubbed patch to rear cover (see picture), otherwise in very good condition in celluloid d/w, Lion & Unicorn Press 1958

Confusingly, there appear to have been two limited editions of this book produced by Lion & Unicorn Press in 1958, one of 150 copies printed ‘for James Campbell’, and this edition of 200 copies. While I have not been able to inspect a copy of the James Campbell edition, the consensus among booksellers seems to be that the edition of 200 copies is far superior, as it includes the colour lithographs which the edition of 150 copies lacks.  

The slight damage to the rear cover is puzzling, as there is no corresponding damage to the celluloid wrapper.
