A Study of the Soldier in India at the End of the Eighteenth and Beginning of the Nineteenth Centuries, two maps, bibliography and index, x & 353 pp, red cloth (no d/w), book appears to have sustained a heavy blow to the top of the spine, which has creased the top corner of some pages and split the cloth at the top of the spine (though nothing is missing and it could be repaired), spine a little faded (see picture), some marginal foxing, particularly at beginning and end, but otherwise a rare book in reasonable condition, John Murray 1927
