See below the description from the dustwrapper flaps.  This was part of a series (the ‘Pen and Pencil’ series) on foreign countries issued in the 1880s by the Religious Tract Society. The text in this volume is not overly religious, though there is a long chapter on ‘Ecclesiastical London’.  The rather twee dustwrapper and the excruciating sub-title is not really representative of the book within.
