Originally published in two parts in 1967 and 1970 respectively. All editions are now long out of print.

Although the book itself is a genuine David & Charles publication, the dustwrapper has the ‘BCA’ logo at the bottom of the spine. This appears to have been one of the books which the book clubs purchased from the publisher and marketed in a similar way to a remainder.
