See the descriptions below from the dustwrapper flaps. The first edition of Part I was revised and reissued at the same time as Part II was published. There is some evidence that the top edge of the pages of Part I was originally blue, as is the top edge of Part II, but if so, Part I has faded spectacularly.

Included loose is an original review of Part II by Charles Smyth, probably from the Daily Telegraph, and probably dating from 1970.
